Ironwood Burl Hunter

I was asked by a member of forum a read pretty regularly to have a go at developing and making a drop point hunter. Here's how it turned out.

It's made of 1/8 inch O1 tool steel. The blade is about 3 1/2 inches long and its about 8 1/2 inches overall. The handle is ironwood burl from It's fitted with black spacers, 3/16 mosaic ping, and a 1/4 inch thong tube.

The sheath came out pretty well. I'm still getting the hang of the leather thing. This one was, at least, not compare by the wife to a sculpture of cat crap with a knife in it... ;-).

It's due to arrive at its owner's home today. Let's hope he likes it...
