All of my life I have enjoyed winter. I love the lack of bugs and the snow and the cold air. There's just something about it. This year though... not so much winter in winter. Nearly every year I get out and hunt at least once in the last few days of season. Just a few years ago this hunt was cold enough to wear my coat and fleece and long johns. Yesterday, I wore a t-shirt and hoodie and was just fine.
A blue sky and a south wind just makes thing so much easier. As I gain a little more lack of youth, these things seems to help a lot.
I had my new girl out with me too... She's from the Czech Republic and she has some really nice lines. I do love those Manlicher-style rifle stocks. :)
As perfect days go, it was hard to beet. There wasn't much moving and I figured what was should probably catch a pass until next season. All I shot all day were pictures. I' just going to put a few in here and call it a day. The kiddos are going nuts to get outside or something...
On a side note here... I did discover that the camera will do both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. 16:9 is was cooler so I switched with this pic.
and one more shot of the new girl, just because I like her. :)
